Copper Lantern Travel

Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains the storage and access technologies used by the Copper Lantern Travel website. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. The controls described here apply to this website; a supplier, booking, payment, map, media, or social-media service has its own privacy and cookie practices when you choose to use it.

1. Necessary technology

The website uses necessary technology for security and core functions. Necessary functions remain available regardless of your optional Measurement choice.

  • Privacy preferences. The first-party clt_privacy_consent cookie records your Measurement choice, and clt_map_consent records your separate Interactive maps choice, for up to 180 days. These preference values do not contain a visitor identifier. Essential revocation timestamps in a session cookie and local storage help other open pages honor withdrawals; they do not grant consent.
  • Hosting, security, and WordPress functions. The hosting platform, security layer, or WordPress may use necessary storage or session technology to deliver, protect, or administer the site. Administrator login cookies do not apply to ordinary visitors.

2. Optional measurement

Optional Measurement is off by default. If you allow it, Google Analytics 4 helps us understand website visits and improve the site, and VacationPort may count views of selected supplier content. Google Analytics can receive information about pages viewed, referring websites, browser and device characteristics, and your network connection, and uses cookies to distinguish visits. Rejecting Measurement does not prevent you from viewing the website or supplier content. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled; we do not use advertising pixels or session-replay software.

Google Analytics may set the first-party cookies _ga and _ga_WJJB63N51J. We configure their expiry to 180 days; this period can renew during consented visits. You may withdraw permission through Cookie Settings at any time. Withdrawal stops future Google Analytics measurement in this browser and removes this site’s Analytics cookies; it does not erase information already processed. See How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

3. On-demand maps and media

Directory pages show a self-hosted static location preview without contacting a map provider. If you allow Interactive maps, those pages activate their OpenStreetMap view automatically. This is separate from Measurement. If you leave Interactive maps off, the static preview remains and you can still deliberately select View Interactive Map. A supported third-party video remains off until you choose its play button. Loading a map or media feature connects your browser to the provider so it can deliver what you requested. The provider may receive information such as your IP address, browser or device details, referring page, and the requested location, and may use cookies or similar technology under its own policy.

4. Managing your choice

You may accept all optional features, reject them, or customize Measurement and Interactive maps separately when the privacy notice appears. You can revise the choice at any time by selecting Cookie Settings in the footer. A new choice replaces the prior preference. You may also remove or block cookies through browser settings, though blocking necessary storage may affect core functions.

5. Third-party websites

A link to a supplier, booking engine, payment service, social network, government source, or other third-party website takes you to a service outside Copper Lantern Travel's control. That service may use its own cookies or similar technology under its own notices. The Copper Lantern preference does not control a separate website.

6. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy when the site's technology, suppliers, or practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
