Copper Lantern Travel was created by husband-and-wife team Gloria and Mike Squire around a shared belief: planning an extraordinary journey should feel personal, thoughtful, and far less complicated.
Gloria brings the insight and care of a dedicated travel advisor, taking time to understand each traveler and design a journey around what matters most to them. Mike works behind the scenes, developing the technology, systems, and business operations that make the planning experience more organized and seamless.
Their strengths are different but complementary. Gloria focuses on the traveler, the experience, and the details that give a journey meaning. Mike focuses on the structure that supports it—bringing information together, simplifying complex processes, and ensuring the business operates thoughtfully.
Together, they are building a modern travel company that combines personal attention with careful organization, informed guidance, and a genuine commitment to making every journey feel distinctly its own.
Travel Advisor
Gloria Squire
Gloria is the heart of the client experience at Copper Lantern Travel. She specializes in bespoke luxury vacations, thoughtfully designed cruises, personalized land journeys, and meaningful celebrations shaped around the individual traveler.
Her approach begins with listening. She considers not only where someone wants to go, but how they want the journey to feel—restful or adventurous, immersive or indulgent, familiar or entirely new. From there, she brings the destinations, pacing, accommodations, and experiences together into one cohesive plan.
Gloria’s travels have taken her across the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, and more. Her continuing education includes extensive cruise-line training and destination-specialist credentials. She holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre education from Purdue University and a paralegal certification from the University of California, Berkeley. She brings creativity, communication, organization, and close attention to detail to every journey she designs.

Mike Squire
Mike brings more than 25 years of experience in information technology, infrastructure, leadership, and business operations to Copper Lantern Travel. With an MBA and a career spent designing systems, leading teams, solving complex problems, and improving how organizations operate, his guiding principle is simple: make the complicated feel manageable.
His own travel-planning experiences revealed how fragmented and confusing the process can be—helping inspire a clearer, more thoughtful approach at Copper Lantern.
At Copper Lantern Travel, he applies the same strategic and problem-solving mindset that has shaped his technology career. He leads the company’s digital platforms, business systems, operational processes, and strategic initiatives, bringing information together and reducing unnecessary complexity behind every journey.
Mike is not a travel advisor. His work happens primarily behind the scenes, building and managing the technology, resources, and operations that support the client experience. This allows the travel advisor to remain focused on what matters most: understanding each traveler and thoughtfully planning their journey.
For Mike, technology is not the destination—it is a tool for removing friction. His goal is to help Copper Lantern Travel combine the personal attention of a dedicated travel advisor with the clarity, organization, and thoughtful systems travelers increasingly expect from a modern travel company.
