When to go

The Amalfi Coast changes beautifully with the season.

Seasonal guidance, not a forecast. Photographs illustrate the destination, not conditions in a particular season.

Spring

Walking weather and fresh coastal days

March-May

Spring can favor gardens, villages, and the Path of the Gods before the strongest summer heat. Confirm trail conditions, ferries, and seasonal openings for your dates.

Summer

Long days by land and sea

June-August

Warm weather supports boats and beach time, while heat and high demand make early starts, protected downtime, and advance reservations especially valuable.

Autumn

Warm light and a gentler rhythm

September-November

Early autumn can balance sea time with comfortable touring. Later in the season, weather and reduced boat or hospitality schedules call for flexible routing.

Winter

Quiet towns and a local perspective

December-February

A winter visit can feel intimate, but some hotels, restaurants, boats, and attractions may reduce hours or close. Build the plan around what is confirmed open.

Good to know

Before your journey
takes shape

A little clarity now, so you can plan with confidence.

What do the featured journey cards include?

Each card opens a supplier offer. Review its itinerary, dates, price, and inclusions, then ask Gloria to confirm the details for your trip. Experiences elsewhere on this page are ideas and may not be included in an offer.

What will these searches show?

Supplier-provided journeys that match the destination and selected filters. Where an attraction has few matches, we also show broader destination results, clearly labeled. A journey mentioning a place is not necessarily an admission ticket or a visit to it. Check the itinerary, inclusions, dates and availability.

How many nights should I allow on the Amalfi Coast?

Four nights creates a useful introduction; five or six allows villages, a boat day, gardens, and one inland excursion with less time lost to changing hotels.

Which town should I stay in?

Choose around evening atmosphere, stairs and road access, ferry plans, view, and the experiences that matter most. The most famous address is not automatically the most convenient base.

Should I travel by road or by water?

Most strong itineraries use both. Drivers protect luggage and inland connections; seasonal boats can turn a transfer into part of the experience. Weather and operating schedules must be reconfirmed.

Is the Path of the Gods right for everyone?

No. Heat, exposure, uneven terrain, steps, fitness, and sensitivity to heights matter. Use a suitable guide and verify current trail conditions before committing.

Can I visit Pompeii from the coast?

Yes, when the transfer and touring time are planned honestly. A guided visit with confirmed admission can add historical depth without forcing an overloaded day.
