Plan the timing

When to go

Seoul changes decisively across four distinct seasons.

Seasonal guidance, not a forecast. Photographs illustrate the destination, not conditions in a particular season.

Spring

Blossoms, palaces, and comfortable walks

March-May

Conditions generally warm through the season, with dry air and occasional dust events. Blossom timing varies, so keep the plan broader than one forecasted date.

Summer

Green landscapes, heat, and rainy-season planning

June-August

Summer is hot and humid, with the rainy period commonly beginning in mid-June. Use indoor and evening experiences, rain flexibility, and realistic transfer time.

Autumn

Clearer air, color, and cultural dates

September-November

Cooling temperatures support city walks and mountain or palace landscapes. Chuseok dates can affect transportation, demand, and operating hours and should be checked early.

Winter

Cold city days and seasonal atmosphere

December-February

Winter can be very cold with periodic snow. Build around warm indoor discoveries and verify Lunar New Year schedules, footwear needs, and outdoor conditions.

Good to know

Before your journey
takes shape

A little clarity now, so you can plan with confidence.

What do the featured journey cards include?

Each card opens a supplier offer. Review its itinerary, dates, price, and inclusions, then ask Gloria to confirm the details for your trip. Experiences elsewhere on this page are ideas and may not be included in an offer.

What will these searches show?

Supplier-provided journeys that match the destination and selected filters. Where an attraction has few matches, we also show broader destination results, clearly labeled. A journey mentioning a place is not necessarily an admission ticket or a visit to it. Check the itinerary, inclusions, dates and availability.

How many nights should I spend in Seoul?

Four nights provides a strong introduction; five or six allows palaces, food, design, neighborhoods, and one day beyond the center without crossing the city repeatedly.

Which area should I choose?

Myeongdong is central, Insadong supports heritage-focused days, and Gangnam or neighborhood bases create a more contemporary rhythm. Transit access and evening priorities should lead the decision.

Is the subway easy to use?

The network is extensive, color-coded, and supported by multilingual signs. Station size, transfers, rush periods, and the exact exit still matter, so route each day before leaving the hotel.

What should be reserved early?

Preferred hotels, private guides, high-demand dining, performances, beauty or wellness appointments, and any controlled-access day trip deserve advance attention.

Can I visit the DMZ?

Operating conditions, identification rules, access, and tour formats can change. Use a qualified operator and reconfirm every requirement rather than treating the excursion as guaranteed.
