When to go

The Maldives stays warm year-round. Monsoon patterns, wind and sea conditions matter more than temperate seasons.

Seasonal guidance, not a forecast. Photographs illustrate the destination, not conditions in a particular season.

What do the featured journey cards include?

Each card opens a supplier offer. Review its itinerary, dates, price, and inclusions, then ask Gloria to confirm the details for your trip. Experiences elsewhere on this page are ideas and may not be included in an offer.

What will these searches show?

Supplier-provided journeys that match the destination and selected filters. Where an attraction has few matches, we also show broader destination results, clearly labeled. A journey mentioning a place is not necessarily an admission ticket or a visit to it. Check the itinerary, inclusions, dates and availability.

How many nights should I stay?

Five to seven nights is a useful planning starting point for one island. Add time for a slower stay or an island combination, allowing for each transfer.

How do I reach my island?

Transfers may use a speedboat, seaplane or domestic flight followed by a boat. The right option depends on the island and your international arrival time; confirm the full connection before booking.

How should I choose a resort?

Compare the lagoon and reef, beach or overwater room, dining arrangements, accessibility, children’s facilities and transfer time. A beautiful photograph alone cannot establish the best fit.

When is the best time to go?

The islands are warm throughout the year. The dry northeast monsoon generally runs from January to March, with December and April transitional; weather and sea conditions vary across the islands.

Can I visit an inhabited island?

Guided visits may be possible from your base. Plan transport carefully and respect local dress and customs; resort rules and inhabited-island customs can differ.
