When to go

Puerto Rico stays warm year-round; festivals, wildlife, surf, rainfall, Atlantic weather, and regional conditions create distinct planning windows.

Seasonal guidance, not a forecast. Photographs illustrate the destination, not conditions in a particular season.

Spring can suit hiking, waterfalls, and cultural events. Confirm trail access, rainfall, reservations, and beach or marine conditions for the dates.

Good to know

Before your journey
takes shape

A little clarity now, so you can plan with confidence.

What do the featured journey cards include?

Each card opens a supplier offer. Review its itinerary, dates, price, and inclusions, then ask Gloria to confirm the details for your trip. Experiences elsewhere on this page are ideas and may not be included in an offer.

What will these searches show?

Supplier-provided journeys that match the destination and selected filters. Where an attraction has few matches, we also show broader destination results, clearly labeled. A journey mentioning a place is not necessarily an admission ticket or a visit to it. Check the itinerary, inclusions, dates and availability.

How many nights should I spend in Puerto Rico?

Five nights can combine San Juan with one major contrast; seven or more supports another region, slower food and culture days, or an offshore island without rushing.

Should I stay only in San Juan?

San Juan is a strong base for history, food, nightlife, and selected day trips. Add another region when beaches, mountains, surf, or a different evening rhythm matter enough to justify moving.

Do I need a rental car?

San Juan can work with walking, taxis, rideshare, tours, and transfers. A car becomes more useful beyond the metro area, where public transportation is limited. Confirm parking, traffic, and route conditions.

Can I add Vieques or Culebra?

Yes, when ferry or flight schedules, baggage, ground transfers, weather, and enough nights fit together. Build alternatives so one fragile connection does not control the entire journey.

What should be reserved early?

Bioluminescent-bay tours, El Yunque access or guided plans, popular catamarans, special dining, holiday events, and offshore-island transportation can require advance decisions.
