Before choosing a ship
Decide what deserves the most weight.
The same headline destination can produce very different trips. Rank these questions before comparing cruise lines or prices.
- The route Which ports matter, how long will the ship remain there, and are there scenic passages or overnights worth protecting?
- The atmosphere Do you want lively entertainment, quiet sophistication, family energy, nightlife, enrichment, or a more intimate social scale?
- The sea days Will days aboard feel restorative or restless? The answer affects the right ship, route length, and balance of port days.
- The complete trip Air, embarkation city, transfers, hotels, and post-cruise time can strengthen or unnecessarily complicate the voyage.
