The Cruise Line Perspective

Lights Down, Vibes Up.

At Avalon Waterways, we’re lighting up the night—and your vacation—with Avalon After Dark: a sparkling new lineup of after-hours experiences that prove some of the best stories begin at sunset. Starting in 2025 and expanding through 2026, Avalon After Dark invites you to linger longer, dance harder, dine alfresco and toast under the stars—because Europe is just as magical after hours.

Picture this …

Sky Deck Soirées
Feast under the stars with our new Sky Grill dinners [available on warm weather cruises]. These special evenings provide a deliciously open-air dining experience where fresh flavors and sunset views are always on the menu. Our expanded Sky Deck drink service also means more cocktails, more moonlight, more yes, please.

Twilight Toasts
We’ve partnered with award-winning mixologist Martin Hudák to raise the bar—literally. From a selection of complimentary drinks during Happy Hour to next-level nightcaps, and themed nightly specials, you’re invited to sip your way through a new lineup of premium and zero-proof cocktails for a night to remember.

Lounge Vibes that Last
When the sun goes down, the Panorama Lounge heats up. We're talking live music, karaoke, trivia nights and impromptu dance parties that’ll have you swaying, singing and savoring the moment. Awaken your inner night owl and dust off your dancing shoes to celebrate in style. After all, your Comfort Collection bed can wait a while!

Moonlit Ports & Midnight Pubs
Overnight docking in Europe’s best cities means more time to explore legendary locales after dark. With Avalon After Dark, you’re invited off the beaten path and into the heart of local nightlife:

• Budapest: Raise a glass at a ruin bar or take in the glowing Buda Castle skyline.
• Vienna: Catch a classical concert or chase a late-night Sachertorte.
• Amsterdam: Seek out a speakeasy or chill to candlelit jazz.
• Rüdesheim: Meander through the Drosselgasse’s cozy wine taverns.
• Avignon: Stroll past the illuminated Palais des Papes or dine in a starlit square.

Ready to Shine After Sunset?

Avalon After Dark is re-writing the script on river cruise evenings. It’s spontaneous. It’s social. It’s sensational. And it’s only on Avalon Waterways. Because the day may be for sightseeing, but the night? That’s for storytelling.

Consider Yourself at Home

Your favorite chair. Your go-to snack. Your signature sip. You can’t help but feel at home aboard an Avalon Suite Ship®. Avalon cruisers know that feeling aboard our intimate Suite Ships—not as another face in the crowd or a number on a guest list. That’s because our staff—from captain to crew to housekeeping to chefs—know the meaning of ‘You First’ when it comes to worldclass service. With a 3:1 guest-to-crew ratio, you’ll enjoy personalized VIP treatment delivered with a relaxed luxury that’s never stuffy—just home, sweet home.
