Scenic Jewel

Scenic Crystal, Jewel and Jade were the sixth, seventh, and eighth ships to join our fleet of luxury Space-Ships respectively. All three river cruise ships feature our signature Scenic Sun Lounges, as well as newly designed cabins and suites. Designed with peerless attention to detail, the newest members of our fleet have set a new precedent in luxury river cruising. Like every vessel in our growing roster of luxury Space-Ships; Scenic Jasper, Opal and Amber have been meticulously designed and crafted to afford the most luxurious and unforgettable journeys, so you can expect nothing less than the trip of a lifetime. Measuring 443 feet in length and carrying just 163 passengers, these luxury vessels marry space and intimacy with a sense of exclusivity not regularly found on Europe’s waters. Couple this with a 1:3 crew to passenger ratio, and guests can expect an attentive service from the minute they step aboard these illustrious river cruise liners. Spanning a total of four decks, these sister vessels boast a wealth of public entertainment, dining and wellness areas, as well as the state-of-the-art Vitality Pool to be found on the all-weather Sun Deck.

Addressing CO2 Emissions

We are committed to designing and operating our ships in an efficient and more sustainable way, thereby reducing the impact of fuel consumption on the environment. We have engaged the services of Ecollective, an independent third-party organization, to calculate the average carbon footprint of our guests and assist in setting achievable targets.

Advocate, Health, Safety & Security

We have created an engaging workplace that supports the well-being of our staff by prioritizing health and safety. Moreover, we've implemented staff training through Scenic Group Academy. Via periodic training offered in our e-learning platform, we can ensure every staff member is fully immersed in our Cherish the Planet ethos.
 

Sourcing Sustainably

Where feasible or possible, fresh produce is sourced from local markets and the on board herb garden (available on selected ships). Our goal is to source sustainably to support the communities we visit and avoid the extensive footprint of food storage and transportation. We have developed sustainable procurement guidelines to ensure all staff and stakeholders are compliant.
 

Reducing our Waste

As we constantly look at new ways to reduce our waste, we are proud to have been working to eliminate single-use plastics on board – all our ships are already over 95% single-use guest plastic free, which so far means we have removed more than 2 million* plastic bottles from use.
